No Rules Quilting!

\"colorfundamentals\"
We were treated to a special presentation by Christy Olsen titled, \”Learning the Language of Color\”. You can find Christy at:www.ChristyOlsen.com. She teaches Color Fundamentals at Art Verve Academy. We learned about hue, intensity, value, complimentary colors, triads and more. If you would like to learn more, you can read more here. We had fun creating our own color wheels with fabric.

The majority of our show and tell this month was charity blocks and quilts.

Our theme for our 12 inch charity blocks for August was orange. The variety is so fun to see every month!

You know the book, \”If You Give a Mouse a Cookie\”? Well, if you make a mermaid pillow, you\’re going to have to make a couple doll blankets, a mini seahorse pillow, another mini pillow, a mermaid, and a little dress for the mermaid. So cute Susan A!
